I just spent a ridiculous amount of time finding, cropping, resizing and posting these two pictures just so I could respond to someone's question of "who is Ford Prefect?" on
daegaer's journal. I'm not obsessed.

I feel like an idiot because I can't remember the actor's name. And it's not on the BBC HHGTTG site, that I can find.
edited to add I've been informed by
bravecows and
tronella that his name is David Dixon. :)

I still think Mos Def looks incredibly dull, especially his fashion sense. He'd better have some hidden sparkle to his personality or this is going to just fall flat on it's face.
I visited the HHGTTG movie site and it has a little thingy where you can enter the zip code to find a local cinema which will be showing it... and the only place it came up with was the Nickelodeon. Mainertoo and I were planning on taking all our co-workers to Clark's Pond cinema, because it's near the airport, but if Clark's Pond thinks they're too good for HHGTTG I guess we'll be bringing people in town. Not like Clark's Pond will care, I suppose - our measly fifteen people or so probably don't make any difference to them.

Ha! They DO have HHGTTG coming to Clark's Pond cinema, they just have The Worst telephone menue in the world. So I think we've got our plans. I can't imagine they'll sell out on tickets on the second night of the show for the late show. I hope I'm not unpleasantly surprised.
The plan is to meet for drinks at Chili's at 8:30PM, then go over to Clark's Pond for the 9:50 show. I hope people don't get too tanked in between times, but as a lot of people will have just gotten out of work that gives them time to eat. I have sent out the massive emailing. Now I have to remember to get permission to post it on the white-board at work. Should be a fun time, regardless of whether the movie is any good.

My favourite Ford of all time has still got to be Geoffrey McGivern, though. yay, disembodied voice!

I absolutely loved him as Ford. He's wedged himself into my head now, so I'm not sure how I'll react to Mos Def when I see the movie.
It's the amazingly blue eyes. It has to be the combination of wee!Ford and amazinglyblueeyed!Ford that does it.
And yes, I know it's contacts, don't ruin the fun ^_^
