[livejournal.com profile] bravecows wrote Pslash for me.  It's so good.  The characterization, the language - I swear to whatever god you want she's Wodehouse reincarnate.

edited to add: Also has poly-relevent content. *briefly debates pimping it on poly communities...* Nah, probably not enough poly content for that, but still I do feel so happy that she included the whole "friendship cannot exist where obligation is" thing. :)

I suppose it would seem more pointed to romantic relationships if I'd quoted where Psmith said, "Obligation is death to all affection" - it's the same, really, but people who are monogamous might argue with me on that one. I tend to think of friendship as more important than the 'romantic' aspects of a relationship. I.E. that [livejournal.com profile] eor is my friend is more important to me than that we have sex sometimes - if the sex part went away we'd still be friends, but if the being friends part went away everything else would go away, too. And I think that this is probably a fairly common poly viewpoint.

Ha - but you're online, now! Now you're going to have to respond to all these comments people have made on your fic! *hugs you tightly* I'm sorry I kept going back and making more comments - it was because I kept re-reading. I must have read the whole story over at least three times, though I revisited it many more times than that, starting someplace in the middle to refresh my memory on something and getting sucked in again.

I was sort of defining affection = friendship (and the other way around, of course), so I would say it's the same. Anyway, yeah. I was a bit surprised at first that you thought the story was poly-relevant, actually, 'cos it was about Psmith saying he meant to be monogamous, but when I thought about it I saw it was applicable after all -- I mean, the point is that Mike really wouldn't mind it if Psmith was having it off with Windsor, and he was feeling awkward mostly 'cos he thought Psmith was holding back on his account.

*hugs yay* I'm so glad the story stands up to rereading! :)
