Yay, rain! Pouring, with flashes of lightning - and I just heard the oddest thunder as I was typing that, starting with an electric shock buzz noise. It was like I was actually hearing the lightning t zapping something, but it should be far too distant for that.
It started raining about 4:15AM, and I got up repeatedly during the next half hour at least to check that all the windows were down enough so that nothing would get soaked (because of course with the heat last night when we went to bed we'd had them all wide open). So, sleep was disturbed. There was something else, too... oh, yes, when the cars were towed. That's so loud, and they do always need to tow a few on Monday and Wednesday, just to keep people nervous. I didn't hear the street sweeper, but it's possible that I managed to sleep through that. And then there was going to sleep an hour late to begin with because it was just too hot.
I'm torn between going back to bed and listening to the rain, or making coffee. It's cool enough to have coffee. :) And I'm starving, probably because I ate very little last night.
