Did you miss us? Don't lie - I bet you didn't even notice we were gone. :) That's okay. We left Saturday and went camping in New Hampshire. This time we did not camp in bear country, so we avoided being eaten by... raccoons, I guess. We certainly did not avoid being eaten by mosquitoes.
This camping trip was once again to New Hampshire, this time back at our Covered Bridge - even in the same spot we had last time we went to Covered Bridge. It rained less; yesterday and the day before were lovely, sunny days, the perfect New England summer weather. We went on a swamp hike, yesterday, and that was quite an adventure - not the usual sort of challenge we set ourselves, more a test of brain (how do you follow the trail in a swamp which is quite a bit more wet this year than it usually is?) and willpower (not going insane with the bugs). We didn't see any moose, but plenty of signs of them, and we could hear them moving around in the woods nearby. The lake at the center of the swamp was quite pretty, and the swamp was just really neat in itself.
It started raining again last night, and we stayed dry all night but didn't know if it was going to keep raining, so we skipped breakfast, bagged our plans to see the abandoned iron mines, and packed up. We were really ready for showers. :)
Now, must eat (haven't actually had real food since before our swamp walk, yesterday) and get lots of things sorted out.
