These are the boots I can't wear because of the scree collar. I paid $85 just for them... whereas all the boots, sneakers and sandals we bought today cost $88. Sucks.

I used to own a pair of boots just like those and they hurt my calves, too. Speed laces just suck. I switched to this style (http://i12.ebayimg.com/02/i/01/66/12/c5_1_b.JPG) of combat boot (GI style, I think they're called) and they've always been great. I have tiny but wide feet and thicker calves so finding boots is always an ordeal.
