(must remind myself that I have some)
*Cleaned the rice cooker and made fresh rice. (just so you know,
eor)
*Added to the grocery list.
*Donated to the Red Cross
*Made out the rent check (um, yeah, this should have been done a week ago. But it's done, now.)
And to balance that out, my wastes of time (although I'm sure it's debatable that some things can go on either list)
*Read about Wookie language on Wikipedia.
*Read about how porphyria is NOT vampirism.
Yet to be done...
*Deliver the rent check
*Take out garbage
*Clean out fridge (um, it should happen before taking out the garbage, but it's not going to, because the garbage stinks and the fridge doesn't stink as much. So that's actually not happening today.)
Right after my last post I went and ate the other half of the english muffin, left over from last night, with more pb&j, and leftover tea from yesterday, just so I would have enough energy to wash the rice cooker, and then began a sort of slow feeding frenzy. I started the rice cooking, and, while it cooked, tried to mau on some cheese, only to discover it was getting moldy (what's with me and the moldy, lately?), so I trimmed off the mold and ate more, with a boiled egg and some carrots, only to get awfully nauseous. Luckily the rice finished cooking, soon, and some plain white basmati set me straight. Oddly, just as I finished eating the first (of two) bowls of rice, I happened across
inscrutable's post about how much he loves rice. :)
But I only managed to eat that one egg (just barely), didn't finish the carrots. I hope I'm not coming down with that stomach bug that has been going through my co-workers. I don't get those things, though. Or, maybe I do, it's just that I get them to such a lesser extent that I don't notice. That bout of nausea might have been my equivalent of everyone else puking their guts out all night.
Off to shower and maybe walk down and deliver the rent - hopefully some fresh air will help perk me up.
Tomorrow I'm working 7.5 hours on what would normally be my day off. And then there's the party in the evening. Somewhere in there I have to fit in doing the laundry, and if I'm really lucky, cleaning out the car - that'll be Sunday, I guess.
So, wise friends list: What do I do? Should I trust my benevolent government and allow myself to be deployed to wherever they send me? Or should I withdraw from the deployment volunteer list?
