I was going to go in for overtime this morning, but I forgot to sign up last night. Also, I think I broke my toe Saturday night. I didn't notice much at the time, because I was having too much fun - I was in the middle of laughing hysterically at some story
eor was telling as we were walking home after dinner and drinks, so when his foot got in front of my foot (I was wearing flip-flops) I just continued laughing and said, "I think you just broke my toe!" :) It was not much of a problem on Sunday, because I wasn't doing much, but yesterday it hurt when I first started working, then seemed to give up and go numb. When I got home last night it looked a little swollen, and was kind of tingly-painful. This morning it's definitely swollen and painful. I don't think I want to go stand on it an extra few hours. Today I'm in the Checkpoint, which means standing all day, anyway. Yesterday I was even only in Baggage and so didn't have to stand all that much.
I dreamed last night that Eor and I were trying to go to sleep on wet pavement. We had blankets, and a tarp over us so that the rain wasn't falling directly on us. The pavement and pooling water on it were quite warm, which was confusing to me - having grown up in Maine, my instinct is that falling asleep directly on the ground with no insulation is courting hypothermia at any time of the year. Even though I knew we were probably well off, the situation still made me cranky.
