My Uncle, Don Jimcito, writing to my Mom on our family Yahoo group: You missed [their brother]'s 60th birthday celebration. It was a low-key cookout ... [wife] and I dragged along [grandson] to meet the cousins. We figured the time was right because they don't really remember anything before the age of 3, right? He's 2. So no harm done.
(And no, I'm not really worried about my other uncle or my cousins reading that, because he'd say it to their faces - probably did, in fact. :))
