Difficult
Your life has been 39% difficult.

Based on your family, money, political context, and personal situation -- during the important years of your development -- it appears your life was DIFFICULT. What does this mean?

Well, the "difficulty" of your life is a measure of how rough you had it. Relative to the world, you had a very, very difficult childhood. I'm not sure what "success" means to you, but whatever it is, you can achieve it. When you do, it'll be that much more impressive.

Hm.  I wonder who had a 'good' childhood.  Oh, wait, those people probably have no need to journalize. :)

I'm going back to bed for an hour.  I know it's unfair, [livejournal.com profile] eor, but what am I going to do if I'm up, now?  If I have too much time I just vegetate, I might as well be asleep.

Everyone must read the thread of [livejournal.com profile] daegaer and Co. commenting on the possibilities that abound with making Paradise Lost as a movie - *chortle!*.

Yes, I have not gone back to bed, yet, and maybe I'll give up the idea. Vegitating is proving more fun. :)

They tell me I had an easy childhood. Which I already knew, really.

*is snuggled and is happy* Well, I'm glad someone had an easy childhood. ;) Moreover, I'm glad it was you, for at least two reasons (I'll probably think of more reasons, later, but two will do for now):

1) you deserve it.

2) you prove that people don't have to have had a horrible childhood to be creative. ;)

When I took the test I had an easy childhood. I don't recall feeling that did have it easy, but maybe that's the point. Few do, and there's this expectation of "easy" that does not exist.

Re: IIRC

I think you're right, that is the point. I'd be embarassed to claim having had a difficult childhood, but when people start talking about things they did a children, and their understanding of how the world is/was, quite often I feel like I'm from another planet.

The writer of the quiz left out some things I think should be pertinent, but I've got to define how I think the questions should be asked. Something like:
"Was your house usually warm enough?"
"Did you have clean clothes on a regular basis?"
"Were your clothes similar to those of your classmates?"
"Did you have friends over to visit?"
"When you got home from school, was there an adult in the house?"
Perhaps even:
"Rate the cleanliness of your home environment."
.
