Oh my, clear and sunny out for the first time in days! I hadn't even looked out the window until just a moment ago. I really should take a little walk and maybe toss the squirrels some of these peanuts and sunflower kernels which I've been saving from Eor's leftover lunch snacks.
Daegaer's cute little ficlet "Duck and Cover" (Supernatural/Good Omens) reminded me of a conversation with Buck the other day. The whole group of us followed him when it would have been a lot faster to go a different way, and of course lemmings and sheep were referenced, but then he brought up sea lions. I guess a bunch of sea lions were migrating a while back and fell over a cliff. I must have missed that in the news.
"It must be hard to stop when you've got a bunch of other sea lions behind you," Buck said, "And can you imagine what it would have been like if you happened to be standing at the bottom of that cliff when they started coming down? It would be like the end of the world!"
"It would be the end of the world for you if a herd of sea lions fell on you," I pointed out.
"Well yes, but I mean it must be a sign of the Apocalypse, sea lions falling from the sky!"
