Fed us well at work, today. Huge pans of half-chickens which I think were paid for by one of the managers. I think most things which were brought were bought rather than homemade, because everyone's running out of time at this season, but most of it was probably brought in by co-workers. I suspect PS (am shift), who used to be a baker, was responsible for the pumpkin mousse pie with graham cracker crust and mocha mousse pie with oreo crust. OMGyum. I ate myself sick, twice.
All the stuff was laid out on folding tables because they had taken all the furniture away. Turns out it had been leased for the last three years. We're supposed to have new furniture in on Saturday.
I spent the day watching people yet again. That made four days this week. FIL (who was in for the buffet with his kids, although it was his day off) said that was because Double D. was in class for on-screen resolution and JS is away on leave, but it sorta doesn't fly because Malibu was in, and DC is also trained (he comes in at 2pm, but he might be convinced to come in earlier).
Because of no furniture the managers were hanging around with nothing to do. I asked if Aviation Safeguard could go back and help us clean up that buffet, but the managers didn't want to have to escort them. I took AS a plate of goodies, later. Mostly non-chocolate, because N. who works for AS is allergic to chocolate.
The autism class was scary, and I'm so glad we had it. I felt like a complete idiot because I thought I knew more than I did, and because I didn't realize why I was required to be there. KT had it nailed when I mused out loud about it to him - because as a spotter I'm supposed to be noticing people's behaviors when I'm out there watching the line, and if they're acting odd I hopefully will be able to tell if the odd behavior is possibly because of autism.
