But mainly I love it because she goes such a different direction with the story from what you'd expect if you already knew the song. Well, with the characters she wanted to work with, I guess she had to. Oh, and I suppose also I love it because even though they are characters from a particular anime she's into, you don't have to know anything at all about that universe in order to read it. Meaning, for me, it reads like an original fic. Give them different names and I wouldn't know the difference.
And, I must say, this comment fromdestervetha, where she plots out how to shoot the story as an indie short movie with the song as theme music, makes me want to send the whole thing to Efram Potelle and see if he'll fall for it.
