Called in sick - am going to the clinic.  I've put my call in to my doctor's office and am waiting for a callback.

Also going to try to eat, just so I can see what happens.  Though the appetite still isn't there.  I'm going to start with a potato pancake.  That seems relatively inoffensive, right?  Only I'm cooking it in bacon grease, which is making me a little worried.  I cooked the bacon because it needed to be cooked but I think eating that would be a bad idea.  "Still," I thought, "I shouldn't let the grease go to waste." 

Eyeah.  Maybe I'll toss that potato pancake in the fridge for when I feel better, and start over.  I could use the non-stick pot, perhaps, and no grease.  That sounds better.  This one cooked in the bacon grease looks good, though.  It's probably a shame I'm not eating it while it's hot.  *nibbles a bit*  Nope, completely tasteless.  I guess I'll put some spices in the next one.  And since I don't want to add more to the ever-growing pile of dishes, I'll just wipe the grease out and use the same pan. 

... Oh.  Bah.  The one cooked without grease is just.  Blah looking.  I think I overcooked it.  Oh well.  It probably won't tempt me to eat more than I should.

ETA: It's blah looking, but with a little cottage cheese alongside it's delicious. I'm having trouble making myself eat slowly.

No, it's not just feeling under the weather, but the dr's office is refusing to see me today. They want me to wait until tomorrow. That's okay - the serious pain seems to have passed. The worst was on Sunday. Although I came home sick from work on Monday, as soon as I could cut out. (No appetite is a biggie, for me - I'm usually a 'tear the back leg off any passing wildebeast' hungry about every four hours type person.)
