She did suggest that many of the common features of fanspeak seem to be related to thinking in "written English".

Yeah, it seemed obvious, to Eor and I. When we talk you can hear the punctuation in our sentences.
Damn I loved that article, I wish that woman might publish something about the topic.
And you're the only person who's commented on it! I thought it would be a huge hit with all the geeks on my flist who are into language.
