We have shiny new pots and pans! Stainless steel, bought yesterday to replace our Teflon pans that people say now cause cancer. Although we still haven't thrown out some of the non-stick pans. One pot hasn't started to peel appreciably, and then there's this griddle that is probably the oldest pan we've got which still has it's surface - whether that's because it's a different type of non-stick or it just quietly shed it's non-stick and became like a cast iron pan, I don't know.
So of course the first thing I did was cook breakfast this morning and stick the potatoes to the pan horribly. Ah well, that's a necessary learning step, I suppose. The lamb curry this evening worked great. :)
Tomorrow I have to ask for Tuesday off for the viewing of my grandmother's body. Coincidently,
eor and I just watched that (Christopher Eccleston) Dr. Who, "Unquiet Dead." 0.0
