another morning doing nothing

Besides writing a couple of letters to friends and relatives, one of which was difficult and one of which was long.  And making a new webpage for old pictures. (I think I'm going to have to get rid of the gigantic versions of the photos, though - they take up way too much space.)

I totally love old pictures, too, and I think that particular one is just amazing. She was probably just sitting there being really bored and trying to hold still, but when I saw it I was reminded of her telling me that one of the ways her mother used to punish her was to lock her in a dark closet. "Probably did me some good," she said, "It gave me time to think."
