We thought we might go out to the Headlight, today, but we couldn't wake up early enough. It's lovely - sunny, with soft breezes coming through the windows, not too hot. Just about a perfect day, really, and we're inside. But we do seem to be enjoying ourselves. I've read a few things from
verywrongslash (Curious George/Tigger was actually kind of cute) and
captains_jack, and from one of the old entries on there wandered over to the Wikipedia entry concerning LGBT characters in the Star Trek universe, which linked to an entry about a fan-made Star Trek series, Star Trek: Hidden Frontier. They're in their seventh season - that's pretty impressive. Now I want to go download all the episodes before they get yanked, because the more exposure they get... well, it's only a matter of time before Paramount (it is Paramount who owns Star Trek, isn't it?) shuts them down.
Oh, I haven't been keeping up on the celebrity sightings. Saw Glenn Close the other day. I got to tell her to go back through the walkthrough and take off her sandals, because she rang. I don't remember what day it was, now, but she was also through the week before - I didn't see her myself, then, so I didn't mention it. I guess she's married to some guy who lives around here. She looked a bit tense; perhaps concerned about being recognized and pestered.
There was another guy I saw, I guess it was the beginning of this past week but it may have been last week, but he came through the other walkthrough... what was his name. Um. He's not very tall, but his father was tall and was in the original M*A*S*H* movie. Keifer Sutherland, that's it.
We cleaned the car, getting ready for our trip to Ohio to see
cyberquail. ;) And! Got a present in the mail from
cyberquail! Set in India during the British occupancy, "One Last Look," by Susanna Moore. Appears to be a novelization of real events and people. I'm looking forward to getting into it. :) Perhaps, also, it will kickstart me on reading "Raj" (the history book I started while on vacation), which I'm still less than a quarter of the way through. I'm pretty sure that I remember the character names from "One Last Look" being people dealt with in "Raj."
"Raj" is a fascinating book, really, but it's too heavy to carry back and forth when I'm walking to work, especially with my shoulder hurt. One of my co-workers chastised me for carrying a pack at all, but I showed her that it was as lightly packed as I could manage, and I do use the waist-strap to distribute some weigh to my hips.
Physical therapy for my shoulder seems to be going well. It never seems as though they're asking me to do anything difficult, but I'm always achy the next day. But I'm not being as good about stretching and at home exercises as I was with the last injury, at first. Maybe that also means I won't slack off so bad, later? Nah, I doubt it. But these exercises are more precise - very small movements, and if you do them wrong you hurt other muscles.
Yesterday I wrote some on my Pseudo Victorian Boys Adventure, which made me feel happy. I think I need to go away from the apartment if I want to write more. Maybe I'll go down to the park, now.
