Bodies still buzzing from 13 hours in the car.  And probably from four hours sleep and then eating nothing but chips, cheese and ice-cream all day, and drinking as much water and caffeine as we could without stopping every four miles.

Now, some real food.  And possibly collapsing.  We thought we might do laundry and grocery shopping, but...  not right now.

I'm glad you made it home safe and sound, no mishaps evidently, that's a relief. Wish you'd woke me before you left, but your heart was in the right place, so I can't fault you. Miss you both though!

Yeah, I wanted a hug goodbye, but you needed your sleep. I could tell from how I felt.

Glaaaaa! 13 house in the car? There's no place you can go in this counrty that would take that long of a drive!

*chuckles* Yeah, I know. :) We find that so interesting. How long would it take to drive from end to end or side to side?

If you drove from the bottom to the top, say from Cork to Belfast it would take about 10 hours. You can really drvie from one side to the other, the roads don't go that way! But it would be a short drive as the crow flies, err drives.
Imagine roads joining up these main towns... There are back roads too of course.

I meant you can't drive from one side to the other.

And you can't see Belfast in this map either, for obvious reasons!

Obvious reasons being Belfast is in the North and this is of Ireland, not Northern Ireland? (Belfast, Maine is where my father lives, but people often think I mean Ireland if I tell them first that my mother lives in Korea.)

Yeah, the roads don't simply stop at the border though!
