I would dance the happy Friday dance, but I'm beat.

I was at work until half-past midnight because of a delayed flight.  Which in some ways is not so bad as it sounds - it was mainly just standing around talking and screening the same four people who kept going out.  Of course the Starbuck's inside the checkpoint closed at it's normal time, so they had to go outside to get a cup of coffee and then they had to drink it outside the checkpoint because you can't bring it in anymore, so I don't blame them.  At that time of night even people who started out cranky become quite nice.  They realize we're all stuck here together, at the mercy of fate.

So [livejournal.com profile] eor woke up and shared a light dinner of cheese and chips with me at 1:30 in the morning, and then I got up at 6AM and cooked the tacos he'd planned for dinner.  :)  And then I went back to bed and now I'm having tea and rice with milk and honey and life is good.

Further updates re yesterday include having horrible menstrual cramps, not having slept well on the wed-thurs night due to unrelated stomach pains, and getting my teeth cleaned.  I allowed all the above to make me skip going to the gym, and I'm skipping again today because I had to sleep and because if I can hopefully get my ass out of here in the next few minutes I should go buy [livejournal.com profile] eor a new headset because he broke his yesterday.  Only I'm not seeing this happening, because it might be too late already.  Hm.  I should have lent him my own to get him through the day - I know he likes to have his music.

But yay!  It's Friday and I'm going to be downstairs!  The Duckling - or maybe I should say the current duckling, since he won't be a trainee much longer - has not yet been signed off on x-ray, but anyone can hang out with him at that position at the end of the training until he passes his test, and since I saw my dr on Monday and she wrote me a note that I can lift up to 50lbs they will let me worked in checked baggage.  Which is where everyone prefers to be, especially with the new regulations.

Darn, I felt like there was one more thing I wanted to say, but I got up for another cup of tea and it slipped my mind.  Now to read a little of what you have all been up to.  I hope there's something from [livejournal.com profile] cyberquail.  (*wishes for the millionth time that Looks_to_Alaska had an LJ*)

Ok maybe this is a time for LJ , email or a phone call/ but since it's almost 1 am alaska time I'll do this. I know this is amazing last min. but; and I know weekends are busy for you guys-- here's the deal Aimsel is running today( http://www.mainemarathon.com/)
and I've kept up via her live journal http://seeaimselrun.blogspot.com/
if you want& can - it would be great if you & anyone else you can find
could go out and support her run -I would be there with a poster board saying go Aimsel, or something like that if I could. If you can - the weblink should have the route ....it starts 745am
and I think she runs between 9 and 10min mile ...she maybe faster or slower but that's the ballpark ...if you can't or just don't want to that cool. I'm just really wishing I could be there for this. at any rate hope you are enjoying your weekend.

20 miles?? My god, that's still freaking amazing to me. I had no idea how long they would be running - they were still finishing up when I went to do laundry at noon. Damn.

The van trip WAS fun, but little bit longer than we'd counted on, I think. :)

MTs... MTs... Mountains?
