They were right.  I thought they were just being typical squeeing fangirls, but it's true.  Stephen Fry's voice on The Jeeves Voco Clock would probably be worth the money even if the first sample message were the only one.  That was certainly worth installing the new Flash for, although I'll probably curse later when my computer screws up and then Eor will curse because he has to fix it.

On the other hand, maybe I'm just a squeeing fangirl.  Oh yeah.  It's a shame that Eor wouldn't find this clock anywhere near as amusing as I do. :)  Also, in fact, I'm very fond of my little peeper.  It has served me well for many years.  And just think how much space that big old voco clock would take up on my nightstand.  I'd have to dust it.

I wonder if I could get them to install the voco clock innards in my old horrid ugly mantle clock that used to belong to my grandparents and doesn't work?

ETA: Someone who actually got one said the exterior is actually 'a disappointment' being a shiny black plastic.

ETA2: Through evil hacker tricks I have saved 12 of the wake-up messages. Now I just need to find an inexpensive mp3 player to hide inside my horrid ugly clock. ;)

Or I could pipe it through the home stereo like I used to do with music.
