daegaer did a lovely little meme - Name five totally self-indulgent story ideas. (The fanfic you would write if you didn't care if you had an audience and also had no shame.) 1) I don't know as it counts, but I did do a lot of imagining then never wrote anything down of a fanfic of "Music Man." It was elaborate backstory for Marion the Librarian involving the old man she read to who left her all his money with which she funded the library.
2) I have had some vague thoughts about Holmes/Watson in the future stories. In "The Mandala of Sherlock Holmes" he's reincarnated in the modern day and retains (or regains) his memory of being Holmes, but there's no mention of Watson, which to my mind was silly. He obviously wouldn't be completely happy until he could find Watson and remind him of HIS past life. He'd have to keep doing that, of course - each reincarnation of Holmes would have to find his Watson. And what sorts of people might Watson be reincarnated as? It could be a lot of fun.
3) Er, and oh yeah... there's that Gilligan/Professor/Mary Anne fic I was talking with
mizzmarvel about, one night. The one where they get a farm in Kansas, have a couple of kids and the Professor is a teacher at the local high school. For some reason I came up with this idea that their home is invaded by escaped prisoners who would be comically defeated by odd tricks. There would be mating goats in there somewhere, too.4) Chekov/Sulu and pirates.
5) Ray Stantz/Winston Zeddmore from Real Ghostbusters. Ray gets turned into a woman. Erm. Yeah.
