In other news, grape juice, gingerale and rum makes a drink that is what I always thought wine should taste like. Unfortunately, I'm not haveing the rum at the moment because I have to go to work.

It's wierd the way you think some drinks should be lovely, then they're not. I nearly had a heart attack of disgust the first time I tasted brandy. It was so not what I imagined it to be.

Yeah, people play them up and then they're just not at all what you think they'd described them as.

(It was very funny, in this Roger Zelazny book I just finished reading, "Doorways in the Sand," the main character reverses something in his body - I think it's his amino acids or something, he makes them spin the opposite way - and suddenly whiskey tastes good - and so do soggy french fries and cafeteria coffee.)
