A mockingbird decided to run through his entire repertoire outside out window this morning. Which is delightful, but not at 2:30AM. Tell me there's no light pollution. This poor bird is getting just as little sleep as I am.
-----------------------
Well, just woke up from a three hour nap, that should help this cold a little.
Took my handpainted glasses frames over to the optometrists office and was very bummed that the girl refused to attempt to put lenses in them because they're over-the-counter frames and too flimsy. So, bought a new frame, but she did have some kind of cheap - discontinued lines.
I got someone to use over-the-counter frames for prescription lenses before, and they seemed to work okay - the frame cracked a little in the process, but they held together. Still, the focal point never seemed right in them, so maybe it wasn't the best idea. They did them for me for free, because I worked at this lens-grinding place, but I can see it might be different for someone who doesn't know what my reaction will be, and is charging me money. She doesn't want me saying they're not right.
So, yeah, I went over with the frames hoping an easy saunter would make me feel more clear-headed so I might feel up to driving. I thought if I could drive to Brunswick to the gluten-free bakery I might change my mind and go to work after all. But when I got back from the little walk I was so wiped out I fell asleep for three hours, even though I'd been drinking tea all morning, constantly... so I guess it's right that I stayed home. And those delish rolls will have to wait for another day.
