13) The Golden Compass - Philip Pullman
14) The Subtle Knife - Philip Pullman
15) Dealing in Futures - Joe Haldeman

I just finished the final page of Dealing in Futures, a collection of short stories with ramblings in between that link the genesis of that last story with that of the next.  That was my favorite part - invigorating to read. :)  The stories - well, I think none were bad, really, and some were quite compelling, but I'm not a fan of short story collections.  By the time I get to the end my impressions are all muddled.  The final poem, The Death of Saul, had slash potential. :)

Now I'll be starting the last of the Philip Pullman series, The Amber Spyglass. :)

Bah, I just figured it out that I'm two weeks behind on the book-a-week thing, as this is week 17.  Short stories slow me down SO much.  There's just no pull to keep reading.  In between stories I take long breaks.  The connecting essay idea did help with that, though.
