Good Legolas/Gimli slash is a very good thing.  Even bad Legolas/Gimli is better than none.  I've read some of each, today. :)  And some pretty execrable Merry/Pippin.  What is it about that pairing?  It always seems as if it should be just fun, but so often the writers wander into something pederastic.
