I should not be trying to write while listening to "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me."  It's just impossible.

Okay, it's done, now maybe I can stop laughing long enough to think. :)

It's been a strange week.  I've been at work during the days so that I can watch the trainer do a class and learn how to do it.  This week we had only the car (as the van is getting a new propane tank installed so it's been at a shop in Windham all week), and since I had to be in early I asked [livejournal.com profile] eor to drop me off on his way to work.  That made me be there at 6:30 when I didn't need to be there until 8AM, most days, but that was okay - I just hung out, drank tea, ate my breakfast and read, just like I would at home, except without the added distraction of being able to read LJ.

Thursday evening we went out for a drink with a few people from work(1) and Friday evening Eor and I went out for a quiet dinner by ourselves to celebrate his birthday.  Went to our favorite Indian place on Congress St., which is always deserted on Friday nights.  Such good food.  I hope they don't go broke.
----------------------------

footnote 1)
ETA: In attendance were Mainertoo and Mrs. Mainertoo (she and Eor being the only non-co-workers there, she commented that Eor was introduced as Mr. Derien), Misstress of the Night, the ex-Radiologist and the ex-Fireman, with Diz arriving after the Fireman left.

Much joking between Mainertoo and the Fireman about firemen spooning and who wasn't allowed in the big bed, and the Fireman went on about how he'd like to give a certain very manly Supervisor a hicky - at the Checkpoint.  "He'd be standing there trying to pretend it didn't feel good and I'd be wrapped right around him like a little monkey!" *makes whimpery sucky sounds*

-------------------------------
And today we went to Windham to get the van and were informed when we arrived that it wasn't ready.  Hullo?  Why didn't you call and let us know?  And then stopped by the farmer's market to get geraniums which we'll drive down to New Hampshire to plant on Eor's grandparent's grave later today.

ahhh I miss NPR. Did I ever tell you my ex was on WWDTM once? Or that I went to a taping of Whadya Know?

No, you hadn't told me that. In what capacity - call in? And how did s/he do?

Yeah, call in. I can't even remember how he did. Alex got a kick out of you saying "how did s/he do?".
