Book #30 was "Microserfs" by Douglas Coupland. A bunch of geeks leave Microsoft and start their own company, and so they spend all their time working or blowing off steam, and either way talking geek talk. It's cool to read, although rather unrealistic in that they don't get eaten by a venture capital firm or a bigger tech outfit, yet somehow manage to stay financially afloat. It's a bizarre amalgam of philosophy and goofiness, with a chunk of over the top and sacharine thrown in at the end, but ... I guess I pretty much loved it. :)

Yay, I'm glad you liked it. That is one of my favorite books.

I would read it again right now, in fact, but I'm in the midst of a giant Pratchett binge. I read "Reaper Man" and "The Light Fantastic" while I was at Pennsic. I need more......

I didn't know you'd read it. :)

Are you trying to go through Pratchett in order? You're always welcome to come over and peruse our collection - we don't have them all, but we have a reasonable representation. One of my particular books of obsession is "Monsterous Regiment," which is why I belong to [livejournal.com profile] cheesemongers.
