Haven't had much to say, really. Still sick.
No, wait, I lie. We went up to visit
littleredhead and
groundctrl on Friday and had a great time with them. They have a female yellow cat! I thought that was almost impossible. There was a very good meal at King Eider's in Newcastle and a stroll around the adorable downtown, there, with a turn through the library garden, and they showed us the sewer 'drian' (the sewer lids are missprinted!) then ice-cream, and much conversation. :) Also, fangirlsquee over the Swallows and Amazons books, and I borrowed "Peter Duck" from Littleredhead. :)
Saturday I went to hang out with my cousins and celebrated my birthday with them. :) They got me Chinese food and tickets to see South Pacific at Hackmatack Playhouse, where my cousin (Jepdog) and I used to work. It's a family business sort of thing, and I think that may be it's downfall - I think our grandparents' cousin had good vision and his son's track record so far is rather spotty. Although Jepdog and I, having worked there, can be hypercritical. Still, the evening was fun, overall - in fact, sometimes it can be a lot of fun being hypercritical with your cousin and former co-worker. ;)
Um. And the last two days I've gone to work and had no energy at all and slept 10 and 11 hours each night. That's about it.
I was ahead this morning, and now I'm behind.
I've got this sort of helpless feeling right now about the next chapter of "Swept Away." It's just not possible and I don't have the energy to stress too much about it. There's stuff written, so it's beginning to feel as though I do have somewhere i can go with it, it's just not going to be on time. I'm bummed.

here is the one little S&A future-fic I had read last year, I think: http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/26/noend.html (no spoilers as far as I can tell - can you even warn for spoilers for books written 70 years ago?)
I hope you feel better soon...more tea!

Re: rallying cry!
(and yes, that was a mist-inducing little story! I'm glad you liked it though - I'm inordinately pleased to have someone to squee with about this most obscure of fandoms.)
