upheaval in my environment... and what was that thing for?

Eor's gotten going on his project of making a new Singer desk for himself - I will get the old one, so in preparation for me moving to his old desk he asked me to sort the garbage out of my desk things. Now all the stuff which was on my desk is stacked on the floor in the livingroom. I've gone through it and got out the complete trash, but I'm sure there's still a lot of junk there. Certainly it shouldn't all be on my desk. In one pencil box I had a little of everything one might need - ruler, pens and pencils, white-out, glue - and then a few things that I guess I thought one might need on a moment's notice, like a necklace...? In case one suddenly realizes that it's dress up day at the office, I guess. And then there was a length of string threaded through a picture hanger, which I have a feeling was really clever at the time, but now I have no idea what it was supposed to be used for. Maybe retrieving things lost down behind a desk?

Argh, a belated happy birthday! I hope cake abounded :-)

Oh, it did! :) Reese's Ice Cream cake, which is like a huge chunk of peanut butter ice-cream covered with a chocolate crust, with little chunks of chocolate in the middle as well. Awfully good, and I've eaten SO much of it! :)
