The neighborhood that house was in is much better than I expected, but the house is much worse. No architectural points of interest, really nothing there worth saving, the foundation caving in - really I think the thing had ought to be razed to the ground and start over, and I don't say that often.

However, we had a lovely afternoon in Brunswick, and an Indian meal that couldn't be beat (what contentment!) and then we bought books, so all is well in chez derien & eor this evening. ;) (I got a biography of Wodehouse! I don't think I've ever read a biography before, let alone bought one. New! Although cut price.)

Now I should do grocery shopping. My head aches and I kind of want to go to sleep and call in sick tomorrow and sleep all day.

I got one of the emails off that I owe to those of you who participated in the stalker meme and I'll get the other off as soon as I get back from grocery shopping, because I shouldn't need to make dinner - no need to eat again today after all that Indian food. :)

that sounds like a great day indeed, even with the lackluster house report. (and oh, the thought of Indian after family-spaghetti-supper tonight - want!)

I'm looking forward to next Saturday though, if it still works for you guys?

we ended up in Brunswick this afternoon and went into the Indian restaurant fully intending to just buy naan to go with the rest of the dinner fixings we had at home - but we caved and ordered dinner instead - so, so good.

(and before that we spent about an hour at the bookstore - so I think we had your afternoon in reverse!)

excellent, we'll come up after work so probably be to your place between 6 and 6.30, I'd think. should we bring anything?

Other than your own delightful selves, and perhaps your sleeping bags in case you decide to drink enough to not want to drive home, I can't think of a thing that we might need at the moment. (We do have blankets but you might want more padding as the only place for two people sleep is really the floor. Although I bet one could build a cool blanket fort between the couch and the shelf the tv is on.)
