Sometimes it seems that every day throws so many appalling things at me at such a rate that there's no way I can remember to log them all down.

Yesterday I heard that the newest 'must have accessory' for an expectant mother is the Hooter Hider - so that you can nurse the baby and not be on view.

It struck me that this has become a truly classless society, though not in any way anyone ever wanted.

It IS! I mean, I've seen mothers manage to arrange their clothing such that not much showes at all, and that might be forethinking on their part and wearing clothes you can do that with, but regardless, they didn't seem to need a special thingy just for that. But regardless, why should a woman really need to cover up completely while breastfeeding? Nobody looks, nobody with a sense of decency and manners at any rate. Which, given that there seems to be fewer people every day with a sense of decency and manners might mean that a lot of mothers are getting stared at and I'm completely unaware of it since I'm not one of them.

But even regardless of all that, why would you come up with such an INdecent sounding name for this needless thing which is supposed to save your decency? I can't imagine that anyone would buy such a thing, but then again they might. It seems as if blatently flaunting one's lack of class has become a kind of reverse snobbery.
