This BBC article about Guantanamo Bay mentions The Military Commissions Act of 2006 which 'removes habeas corpus rights' - they seem to mean that habeas corpus rights were removed from one group of people - those held at Guantanamo as 'enemy combatants.' How far afield is this assumption of mine?
