I've tried to be good and productive, today - photocopied the tax forms, dropped off some books at the library, mailed some stuff out, did the grocery shopping - but then I pulled my back (aggravated the work injury from over a year ago) carrying the groceries in and now it looks as though I might be spending some time on the heating pad. I was hoping to go out and enjoy this nice weather, but the sun is already sinking into the west. Anyhow, we have food cooking - a nice easy meal of broiled chicken, rice and canned veggies - I've taken some Advil, and if the sun goes down I'll actually be able to see the tv if I prop myself up in front of it with the heating pad under my shoulders, so maybe I can enjoy some of those piles of DVDs I have. :) (It's never a good idea to try to watch tv while the sun is up in this apartment, gives you a headache, but that's okay since we very rarely do.) I'd like to do a marathon of The Prisoner. Hm. :)

Ugh, back pain is THE WORST! Mind yourself.

A marathon of the Prisoner makes everything better! While also being mesmerising.

I did not, unfortunately, get The Prisoner. But! I got "House"! :) It was pretty good - a little CSI in places, and I can barely stand to listen to what Hugh Laurie does with his voice. So pinched! But the girl in the first ep does do a little contextual ground-laying for House/Wilson, which Eor obviously noticed also from the way he squeezed my knee (or hand, or whatever body part it was that was closest at the time) just to alert me in case I'd missed it. ;) ("He's your friend. Does he care about you?" "Yes.")

I'm just catching up from the weekend (oh so good to be home again) - is your back feeling better? I hope so. (even if it's not feeling tubing-better, yet!) I had my first ever experience with hurting my neck/shoulder to the point that I actually went to a chiropractor (instead of just medicating/heating/easing off it) a couple of weeks ago, which was quite interesting but not something I'm eager to repeat.

It's much better than it was, thank you. I had taken the 3 Advil + 1 Tylenol combination before work, and during the day I loaded the baggage scanner quite a lot - no lifting, just leaning things onto the belt. That kept me moving so I didn't stiffen up. I'm thinking maybe I didn't move enough during the weekend. Still not right, but if I can crave the indulgence of my co-workers for a few days I might be able to get around going to the dr and light duty.

Last time I went to a chiropractor was in high school, and that one had a heat lamp and an assistant who gave me a bit of massage, beforehand, so it wasn't too unpleasant. It has to be pretty bad to get me to do chiro, though, as the thought of someone messing with my spine is kind of icky, know what I mean?
