8) "Sense and Sensibility" - Jane Austen. Do I even need to say that I really enjoyed it? I don't know if I'd have been able to keep up the momentum to read it all if I hadn't been sick this weekend, because it's ridiculously long, but yeah... Made me think that I need to keep my mouth more shut and my ears more open. The main char avoids manipulating, but she plays her cards so close to her chest that she's able to collect all the info and ride everything out. Social surfing.

I've only one Jane Austen book and it's Pride and Prejudice and it's in Dutch. Which is the main reason why I haven't read it yet. The most famous of her books are definitely on my 'to get' list.
As for keeping your mouth shut and ears open, I think that would apply to me as well.
Glad you enjoyed the book. And hope you're feeling better now.

She didn't actually write all that much, apparently, because she died when she was 40, so I think about everything she wrote is famous. And it's all on Project Gutenberg, which is where I got it. If you had a laptop or an ebook reader you could download all of them.

I have an English copy of Pride and Prejudice if you would prefer that. It's extremely small print and thin paper, but nice pictures. It was what got me reading Jane Austen, because it was so pretty.

And I'm a little better, but not really a lot. Temperature is going down, slowly.
