Sorta - I haven't looked at LJ yet. As soon as I get all this laundry done and pick up some food I hope to come home and start reading - I'm sure it'll take a while to catch up. What should I look at first? Any drama I don't want to know about? Much more importantly, what are you all up to?

welcome home!

I hope you guys had a great trip. you missed some more nasty weather, so well done you. nothing of great import going on here, other than our annual weekend away for my birthday this coming weekend, which we are muchly looking forward to. oh, and we've done yet another "I think this is really The One" house design, but this one may actually be The One. (wouldn't that be lovely?)

please give us lots of stories of warm climates and green things!

Missing nasty weather was a big part of our goal. ;) Where are you going for your birthday? Eager to see THE house design, when we get a chance! Don't know as we have lots of stories, mostly we slept a lot, ate very well, and took long walks, but we do have a fair number of photos of Bike Week in Daytona Beach, which I'll have to get to taking off my camera tomorrow or something. Mostly girls... er. Typical of me. ;)

our plan is to meander south down the coast, following old route 1 as much as we can (as opposed to highway travel) & stopping whenever we see something interesting (or anything labeled bookstore). we're aiming for Portsmouth at some point, to take a tour of the brewery there among other things, and also planning to accumulate some sleeping bags & such for the september trip (we really ought to have some anyway!) we're not really headed anywhere except for not here.

we'll definitely catch up with you guys soon though (although as the weekend after next is easter, it may have to be after that.) I've got two Sherlock Holmes collections to pass along to you after I finish the second one. (and let me know when/if you need the next Snicket books too.)
