I finally thought, "Hey, maybe I could take a moment now to see if I can follow Tronella's instructions on how to post Flickr photos, given that I now have something like three hundred more photos I'm going to be posting to Flickr..."

You can tell it's a heavy, wet snow by the dimples in it. It's melting on the trees and dripping.

It is, I couldn't resist! :) I can agree because of course I can't take any credit for how pretty it is - snow is always pretty, even if it's inconvenient, and I'm convinced I live on one of the prettiest streets in one of the prettiest small cities anywhere. ;) My meager efforts to make it prettier have all come to naught. You might recall, last summer, my bemoaning my inability to make wildflowers grow under that tree which is to the right in the picture. I think it has a vendetta against all other plants under it's canopy - it drops things to smother them.

However, I love this tree. It shades our bedroom window, we get to watch squirrels playing in it, and a few weeks ago Eor saw a hawk eating a crow in this tree. Just outside our bedroom window. (And in how many cities to you get that kind of wildlife?)

That is so cool! You live on a street off the telly! I can't think of what show, but it's so pretty. I like the story about your tree too.
