I got a bag of compost for that strip of dirt out front of our apartment. I wondered as I was buying it why there were holes in the plastic bag, and when I got it home and pulled it open I discovered why. Things were things wiggling in it. It has worms. :) It was a little surprising, but of course I was delighted - that dead dirt out there didn't have any worms and I was wondering how I could get some. :) Now I want to go buy four more bags! Kind of expensive, though.

I think I felt okay about buying it partly because I'd been expecting to have to pay parking tickets and it turned out they had both been forgiven. (Er, yes Eor, I didn't tell you about the second ticket because I was too ashamed of my stupidity. I literally just didn't put enough quarters in the meter because I was in a hurry. I won't make that mistake again.)

I was going to go back out there this afternoon after going to the nursing info session and mix the compost in a little more, but Eor wanted to talk about the results of that session. It's a little discouraging that I won't be able to even bother applying for at least a year, but I guess that's how it goes. Must take prerequisite classes. I'll go down tomorrow and see if I can get enrolled in Intro to Statistics. I took a Statistics for Dummies class a billion years ago, and with Eor's help just barely managed to scrape through it, so maaaaybe it won't be too hard with his help, again. *crosses fingers*

I'm trying to remember anything about the person who gives this course. I worked in the Math Department office for a while, so even though I know nothing about math I did know most of the instructors, and I know a couple of the guys accents were so thick that I would really fear for my ability to make sense of their lectures, but I think this guy was not so bad, if I remember correctly. And hopefully the class doesn't get canceled, because it's intended to have 30 people in it and as of this afternoon it only had 6.

Honestly I don't think the woman who did the info session did much more for me than Eor had already done with finding prereqs.

I might be able to help you a bit with Stats too. I'm not fabulous at them, but can probably dig up some stuff for you to at least work though.

I will probably need plenty of help, but I suspect it won't be in fiding more work to do for an intensive summer-session class. ;)
