Also, we achieved Lilac this weekend. :) I forgot to mention something like a month ago when we achieved Cherry Blossom, which is a shame because I also didn't mention the dried cherry petals fwoofing around the inside of my car when they came in through my fan ducts.
As he mentioned, we went down to New Hampshire to put flowers on his grandparents' grave, as we do every Memorial Day. We've done this for sixteen years (I think?) now, and I can't believe that I never noticed before that all of the trees are maples and that they were carefully trimmed so that the ones toward the outside have a spread and the interior trees go straight up. It does create a cathedral sort of impression, and it has to have been planned.
As per usual, also, I have neglected to get him a birthday present. It's been ordered, and is on the way, but I can't ever do it in time. Also, I suck at being stealthy about it. I asked him what he wanted, and then when I thought of something else I wanted to get him as well I had to break down and tell him what I was thinking of to make sure I got the right type. Ah, well.
