How long has it been since I had a chance to read LJ? My f-list is out of control! I'm torn between wanting to read it all tonight and thinking that maybe if I go to bed and start again tomorrow I might actually read more carefully and make comments.

Saw a fantastic fiddler and her band this evening - April Verche. The concert was only slightly marred by idiot parents letting their kids run wild. One of the little boys was really into dancing, though, and he would have been fine by himself. He was adorable and just kept trying to get the little girls to dance, but the littler girl just stared at him and then knocked him down - she wanted to wrestle.

I was freezing from the moment we got there - apparently having less hair really does make a difference in heat retention. But it was such a good show that I forgot all about that after a while. And then wished desperately that I could see Loose Digits live, so that I could watch my brother, Hawk, playing the bass. The bass player with April Verche was probably technically solid, but lacked something.

Got home and had a phone message from Hawk, who's playing at a festival. :) So I called back and left a message and told him I'd been thinking of him and wishing I could watch them play. :) (You ever notice it's sometimes easier to phone someone if you know you're going to get the voicemail? I assumed I would, because I figured he'd be on stage. OTOH maybe most people don't have as bad a phone anxiety as I do.)

And now I've had tacos and a tequila lemonade and am on my way to bed to sleep for hopefully many, many hours.

Life is good. :)
