I have this huge desire for a canvas (or leather) shoulder bag with an adjustable strap, one pocket inside big enough to hold a couple of hardcover books, a flap over, and possibly a metal zipper (okay, I know that's asking a lot) to close the main pocket... and I'd like it to be a little dressy but kind of plain...? Er, you know, look nice but not be flashy. Earthtones, probably. Where would you look?

Cyberquail very nicely took some pics of a few bags at the Faire for me, but that's going to cost me to get one custom made.

I took a nice walk in the rain up to LL Bean and they have a new boat and tote shoulder bag which is so almost what I want, but it's so "Biff and I just brought the yacht up from Cape Cod for the weekend." They don't have it on their online catalog, yet, but boat and totes are these, so picture the blue or green with one shoulder strap and a flap over the top.

I suspect that we're actually enjoying what we're doing at the time, and we take those pics, but they're not necessary to our enjoyment, so when we get home they just get pushed aside, we forget we took them.
