Emptying the pockets of jeans, preparatory to washing, I went to toss out a bundle of recipes and garbage that was in one pocket when something about the texture of the bundle caught the attention of my fingertips. Unraveling it revealed $16. I had just been thinking that if my hands ever lost their sensitivity it would be a very bad thing for me, and was immediately proven right.
