I just ended up posting to OKCupid, and used the thing I had posted the other day to here as a springboard, but also added the following:
Hawk is so funny, I rarely stop laughing around him, unless we're arguing, which happens less as I understand him better with age. Still has that tendancy to tease hard, unfortunately sometimes hurting the GF's feelings inadvertantly. He's not the type to want to hurt someone's feelings at all - cutting one down is the last thing he wants, he knows insecurity too well from the inside - but he thinks of something to say that's funny and it's like his brain and his mouth are too closely connected, sometimes, with no gatekeeper.
