I have had a bad couple of days at work. And here when I just thought I was going to be able to settle down and live with this job for a few more years. I've pretty much learned to deal with the fact that customers are awful and move on, but my new Supervisor is giving me hell for doing stuff the way I was told to do it. Not that this isn't a usual occurrence, it just hasn't happened to me in a while, so I suppose I should also get over this and move on.
Maybe it's just bothering me right now because I'm not feeling well. The root problem is just that I'm exhausted and need to sleep about ten or twelve hours for three of four days in a row. And I know that's not going to happen for a while. Maybe this weekend I'll get to sleep in for two days. We were discussing going to the Bangor Folk Festival, but then Eor started thinking about the fact that he wants to pull the fridge out of the van and fix it's drainage pipe (which broke when he tried to take the cap off it a couple of weeks ago). So, possibly sleeping in will happen instead.
My sweet Eor bought me Peterson's Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants of Eastern/Central North America. :) This is a gift to help me not worry so much about the zombie apocalypse so I can sleep at nights. ;) He also got me four (4!) boxes of rooibos tea! And one for himself, and one for his friend at work, Doc (who doesn't drink caffeine except when he's in very straitened circumstances).
Today, even though I'm beat, I have done some things. Yawning all the way and wondering if I was fit to be driving. Went to the grocery store for a few things, among them AAA rechargeable batteries. We needed three. They only had two, in a pack with a charger. I couldn't conscience buying two chargers in order to get three batteries, so I drove all the way out to Lowe's to find rechargeables I could buy without getting a charger. And then I got a charger also because Eor had told me that the one we had didn't do AAA. Which... I suspected he might not be right, but had not thought to check before leaving home.
Since I was all the way out there I stopped at the Chevy dealership to order a new window handle for the car. It will probably be in tomorrow morning, which works out well because then I can return the charger we don't need. :)
When the charger says on it "Danger of electocution - never use with an extension cord" they mean with an extension cord that has other things plugged into it, too, right? Or do they mean because it can be fiddly trying to get the two apart?
Now I have a craving for about a pile and a half of scrambled eggs. I don't know why scrambled, I haven't had a desire for them cooked that way for about a year.
