I was expecting to pay $2,000 for the breast reduction surgery. I just talked to the insurance company representative, and she says $100 for each surgeon who works on me. That's. Wow. I'm not sure I believe it. Also she says there's no restriction on the amount of breast mass they can remove, which Phoebe thought might be part of the reason the surgeon is hesitant to go quite small.

Also walked down to Big Sky Bakery yesterday and today - it's about a half hour away, so I felt okay about having a cup of coffee and a snack each day. :) (And they have soy milk for the coffee, and yesterday I was able to get granola with no wheat, so my tummy was happy.) And after 2:30 yesterday I had no more solid foods for the rest of the night and until my walk this morning, and didn't suffer from that at all. Tea and bullion IS enough to support life. I'm not even hungry now, on only a scone and coffee so far today. This is going okay. I'll take some sort of snack to work, though, because bullion might not be enough for all day.

ETA: Except for the fact that I just hopped up to go get my shower and run to work and realize that I forgot to do dishes. Gah! :(

so pretend this is that "I missed something" meme, please - but is there a date set for this? are you going to be getting time off work, I'd hope? please let me know if there is (somehow) anything I can do. and hugs, too - I think you're approaching this very sanely and thoughtfully, and I hope your drs respond to that.

(I've got an appt. in a couple weeks to find out about tonsillectomy - which in my case is *slightly* smaller amounts of material to be removed. bleh. silly physical forms.)

Haven't set the date for sure, yet. I discussed with my manager, yesterday, when would be easiest for operational needs, and came up with the last week of October being good because not many people have that or the next three weeks after it staked out as vacation times. However, Eor's not pleased with this suggestion, as he'll be right in busy season at work and not able to take time off to help me. He says his mother was flat on her back for a couple of weeks when she had it done, when he was in high school, and I know she's no wimp (and was younger at that time than I am, now). (I'm also sure he took good care of her. ;)) I'm picturing that I'll be on the couch with a couple of bottles of water, a thermos of tea and some snack bars and beef jerky, and a stack of movies, for at least a few days.

I talk to the surgeon again on the 15th, the day after we get back from the Faire. Between now and then I have to determine A) Do I really mean A cups? (all I know is that I want them small enough to not have to wear a bra at least sometimes, and be out of my way.) and B) That he WILL do as I demand.
