The follow-up appointment obviously went okay or you'd have heard me complaining. :)
Nearly as soon as I got home my brother, Hawk, phoned, to see how I was getting on. As it turned out he hadn't even seen my email saying that I was going into surgery until long after the fact - he doesn't live on email like I do.
I did watch Young Sherlock Holmes, and it was just as fun and corny as I remembered. :) It's kind of nice that Watson gets to save Holmes and the girl, at one point. I thought that it actually felt a good deal more like a Victorian boy's adventure story than anything Holmesian.
