(So pathetic, his little voice! And you can tell his person is very affected by his pleas, she looks as if she can't decide whether to laugh or cry over the fact that she has to put him through this.)

"No," apparently comes naturally to cats (imagine that), as this cat getting a bath says both "No" and "Good boy".

Maybe I should go lay down until this urge to post passes.

Cats are probably born knowing what "no" means which is why they purposefully ignore you when you tell them "NO jumping on the counter" and "NO using the sofa as a scratching post."

Oh yes, that is a fact worthy of fic-use! Or dropping into everyday conversation use, even. I need to impart this information to someone now, but there's only my father in the house and he wouldn't appreciate it. :(
