I actually finally installed and used LJArchive, because someone mentioned that might be a good idea if LJ is going down for moving, and it seems to work really well. Fast, too - it probably only took fifteen minutes to download all seven years AND comments - I'd been afraid it would do the comments. And then I got distracted by looking at old entries and fic I found I wanted to read again. :) I don't know what I would do if I lost all of my LJ.

It's SO easy to get sucked into it though, it's amazing. It's like, "oh look. old entries!" and then four hours later, you're still looking at them
