So, I had this little calendar book which I was keeping in my back pocket at work, and I would take it out and look at my engagements and time off like Gollum polishing his precious (England! Visiting [livejournal.com profile] littleredhead and [livejournal.com profile] groundctrl!), but every now and then it would leap out of my back pocket because it was a tiny bit too large. Well, guess where it decided to leap, today? Yeah. Into the toilet.

I phoned Eor to tell him I would be a little late getting home because I was going to Staples to get another after work, and had to admit to what had happened to it. "What a pissah!" he said. (Which, if you speak Boston, means pretty much the opposite, 'superb' is the translation given here - but it was too good a pun to pass up. :))

Luckily, Alice had a little date book given out by the Post Office which she hadn't even started to use as yet, and it even fit in my front pocket, so no more leaping out! :)

That's odd. The language thing, not your diary falling in the toilet. That sounds all too familiar. I love colloquilisms and hearing about them. I was going to make a post about my ones.

I need a diary/year planner myself, mainly because I don't want to forget to plan any of my seeds this year. I'm pretty bad for remembering my family's birthdays too.

I'm great with remembering my family's birthdays, just terrible about doing anything about it. :)

well, you're a bit deranged if you think we merit an exclamation point next to England! but I heart you for it anyway.

(are we going to get to see you guys this weekend? did I forget to email Eor about it? we just got power back (two outages totalling about 36 hours in a 60 hour span) and so I am just scattered!)
