(we ran away for the weekend as we tend to do for my birthday - this year we skipped the rotten weather (wasn't it gorgeous?) and therefore had a viciously flat tire that we ended up having to replace (but we got ice-cream while the tiremen were working their magic, so still win) - we went across nh and into vt for a few miles, visited a museum of science, consumed lots of various nummy foods & drinks, bought a new digital camera (shiny!) as well as a set of mixing bowls & various kitchen toys, and generally enjoyed being out of town.)
