What's up with Firefox giving me this "Firefox is already running but is not responding. You must close this session or restart your system" and then never closing no matter how many times I try?

Well, I've been evil to my dental hygenist - had tuna for breakfast. Tuna made with some kind of goat yogurt (raspberry flavored) with jalapenos. :) I brushed, did Listerine, and then bought gum on my way to the dentist's, and begged her forgiveness, and she was very kind about it. :) I'll be seeing Dr. Nalchajian* again for a filling on thursday, at which time I expect he'll be pushing some books on me, as his wife is apparently getting after him to reduce the piles a bit. He has some of that Robin Hobb series, a random scattering he says. I'm wondering if I should take him a copy of Good Omens or something?

*I know I make it a habit never to use people's names, but I think his name sounds so cool, and I only ever say good things about him because he's been GREAT.

I got my gubmint check yesterday (the loan from my Thrift Savings Plan for the condo) and deposited it, got copies of front and back, got a copy of the check and the deposit slip sent to the loan officer... I think I'm caught up. Now some dishes for two minutes?

Oh, dear. That's the error message I was referring to before... :S I only get it on my work PC, though: never at home. Is the relevant PC of yours on a network of any sort?

Sometimes leaving it alone for 5-10 minutes (and using IE, etc. instead if necessary) will let you start it up again.

Yeah, I did know it was you. :)

Yes, my machine and Eor's are networked. I fell back on IE.

Ugh, I hate that error message. If you wait for long enough it'll eventually work itself out, but if you're impatient (like me) you can go into task manager and just close the firefox.exe process, which usually works it out.

Tuna + raspberries? Is that a good combination?

I fell back on IE this time, but I'll try to remember for next time to kill the exe.

I thought it was great, actually! The yogurty stuff had the raspberry flavor mostly at the bottom so the part that I used to make the tuna was mostly just slightly raspberry flavored, and then I added some jalapenos as well. That may have been overkill, but I liked it all right. I've heard that adding grapes or apples (I think?) to your tuna helps hide the fishy taste, so I thought it was worth a try. I'm not so keen on mayonaise.

Hm, tuna and fruit is not a combination I've ever tried. But maybe I should! :)

If he's got Robin Hobb's Liveship Traders series, snap that shit up. I haven't read it in years, but I remember it being pretty enthralling, with some really original worldbuilding. Too bad the author herself has a medieval opinion on fandom and suchlike - I hate it when good writers are inane people.

I'm not sure which Robin Hobb series - he said there were 9 and... something about assassins, I think? I don't think it's the same one. But I'm not sure what else he has besides that.

Oh, I've read the assassin books! They're awesome. I think they're the first of a trilogy of trilogies, and liveship traders is the second (i.e. books 4-6). I haven't read those yet, but I hear they're just as good.
